INTRO
With Mod the Galaxy rejecting anything NGE at the moment, some people may find that the hindering factor on installing mods (since it's really the only large site you can find with SWG mods)
However, in my search to learn from other mods, I've found other sites that help and an alternative website that's more NGE friendly than the purist over at Mod the Galaxy. Keep in mind, some mods may only be found on MtG but that's ok! Here I'll help list where you can find mods, what mods are compatible, and what you need to look out for when searching for mods!
The List
ALL mods made for Pre-cu can be used in NGE, despite them being made for precu in the first place. However, just because they can be loaded into the game, this doesn't mean they won't have bugs or conflicts as some things in NGE replace or move from precu. First of all, here's a list of the two primary websites that you can find mods you can use for NGE:
*Sorry I had to include spaces! I don't think I can post links until I reach a certain post amount but I don't want to spam to be able to to that :P . Mods, if this is a problem, I can simply change it to reference the website instead of giving the links!*
Also, some mods may be posted here! Even though I only know of one and it's my HQ sounds mod found here!
These two websites have all the mods you'll ever want! However, I prefer EQSanctum as they are more NGE friendly and allow NGE mods to be hosted (even though there's only one NGE mod).
As I said before, ALL mods are able to work! However, some are incompatible and I'll explain how you can find out which ones are and aren't compatible.
Compatibility
Now, compatibility is relatively simple to figure out just by looking at the mod before you install. However, even doing research into it, you won't always find what can be put in and what can't be put in and that just comes down to trial and error.
Mods that replace meshes often wont be compatible as those mods will call on textures and resources to complete the model. Stuff like replacer mods are risky. HOWEVER, I'm able to use the swoop replacer mod (Bhaal's Swoop Bike) found on EQSanctum just fine so some mods WILL work.
Mods that edit things specifically for precu you'll want to stay away from. Things such as the NGE UI replacer, NGE sounds, and LOD loaders or anything needing SWGEmu such as the swgemu launcher remastered and so on. Anything that was made to make stuff in precu like NGE or made purely for the swgemu client won't be compatible.
Mods I use:
All these mods work just fine! I was able to find all of these mods through EQSanctum as well except for the music extended mod. Feel free to check out the EQSanctum link for these! There's other good mods there I don't have installed that you may like.
Finding the right mods
Finding the right mod is easy! Just keep in mind what you're modding and you'll only need to mod that once. A HUGE tip is unless it's sounds or music, if the mod asks you to overwrite textures, meshes, models, or animations, DO NOT overwrite as you'll see crashes or texture bugs when the item/vehicle being moded is pulled out.

Mods I use:
- UJM: Ultimate Jedi Mod. (Really good mod if you have a jedi)
- Sytner's Satellite Maps. (This is definitely a must have!)
- A Better Looking Dantooine Mod. (Decent texture replacer)
- Bhaal's Swoop Mod. (Really high texture model replacer for the swoop!)
- Naboo Housing Window Mod. (Simply adds clear windows to the naboo houses. Pretty nice addition)
- X31 Land Speeder Re-texture. (Really well done retexture mod but just in there for flavor)
- SWG Audio Restoration Project. (Remastered music made to be more HQ)
- Music Extended Mod. (Adds music from SWTOR/KOTOR and other games. Personal taste)
- HQ Sound Mod. (Mod made by myself)
