Afterschool robotics / electronics (Arduinos, 3D printers etc)
How long is your typical gaming session when playing Star Wars Galaxies?
If I’m at my computer it’s probably open. Idling in Eisley is a favorite pastime.
What does a typical Star Wars Galaxies day consist of for you?
Rush to the Bazaar and make sure I haven’t missed any great deals! I tend to get dragged into random heroics, but I am also enjoying space a lot more here than on live.
What was the race and profession of your very first character?
Human Jedi, how cliche. He lasted until level 26, I couldn’t even tell you what the name started with.
What got you into gaming and what sort of games do you like the most?
PS1 / Crash Bandicoot. Naughty Dog is great! I’ve been enjoying Rocket League since it was released. I think crazy puzzle games are probably my favorite, stuff like Antichamber that just destroys your reality is interesting.
What other hobbies or activities do you take part in, other than playing Star Wars Galaxies?
I mentor a few local high school teams in robotics. I also do model trains (big enough to ride on!) Basic electronics stuff like Arduinos has always piqued my interest, so I play around with them when I have the time to.
What race and profession is your main character?
(green) Wookiee Medic
What do you like the most about the profession you have chosen for your main character?
I rolled medic from the start, and I’ve always enjoyed being able to handle most of the things PvE could throw my way. It’s nice to be able to help others with content as a healer!
What faction is your main character?
Imperial
What is your favorite player owned ship? What is your favorite ground vehicle?
Being Imperial, the VT-49 is the obvious choice for POBs. As for ground, probably the HK-47 Jetpack. Poor HK!
How did you choose your main character's name?
I want to say it was RNG? Kind of hard to remember back in 2006...
What is your favorite planet?
Dathomir, there’s something so satisfying about agroing two gold elites wandering a planet. It’s got a cool atmosphere.
What is your favorite NPC?
Agro protocol droids. Ever been slapped? “Oh dear!”
What are the most credits you have ever spent on purchasing a single item for one of your characters?
Here? Probably a piece of heroic jewelry. On live? A Jetpack if I remember.
What do you like best about SWG Legends?
It’s great to be back together with a community that enjoys the game, and it has been cool to see the game in another era. More content!
Describe your best experience playing Star Wars Galaxies.
Looting a Mural and selling it for 20mil? All the friendships that have been made, there’s plenty of people I recognize from Chimaera and even more new faces that I’m getting to know.
You contribute some of your skills in Development to the SWG Legends team. What is the reason for this?
Personally, I enjoy making things better and/or easier. There’s always been areas I thought SWG could improve on, and now I’m getting the chance to try and implement those ideas.
What things for SWG Legends have you been working on and what are you most excited for players to see? *A vague answer will do, to tease* A lot of what I’ve done so far is little annoying bugs that I remember from live. Other things I look at are bugs on Discord that people are discussing, and stuff on the Mantis. I have made a few completely new items and updates, which was a good learning experience!
What is your favorite questline within Star Wars Galaxies and why?
Hard to pick any one questline, but I have always enjoyed the HK series. It was sort of the original ‘heroics’ content for me anyways. I have to say it’s pretty cool to see some of the pre-NGE quests being brought back as additional content too!
