*A Mystery In The Making*

Hello Legends,

We're over 3 years in on this journey together now. Some of us have been here for a long time, maybe since the very beginning. Some of us might be newer, and some brand new. The common thing we share though is the journey. Our project, our staff, and our community have evolved during this experience. No matter the ups and downs along the way, we all grow and we all move forward.

Our team is working hard to continue delivering a new and positive Star Wars Galaxies experience that tastefully fits into the already existing world as we know it, without compromising the feel of the game as we also know it. Right now, I know many of you have your sights to the clouds and what new things are in store for our City in the Sky, and we really do hope you are excited and pleased with what you've seen and what awaits you all!


But what's next?

Well.. We can't really share ALL of that just yet, but rest assured there will be much for you to explore. Oh, okay.. I guess we can touch on a few of the little details. Maybe a few screenshots would help also? Let's see some of the work going on to expand our galaxy and take a peak at what's waiting for us on the horizon.


Beyond Cloud City.

You're absolutely right! This project consists of many working parts focused on various tasks. We're thrilled to share with you finally one of our new and more ambitious side-projects also coming in the future.

Welcome to Felucia. Equally serene and filled with danger, this new planet will allow you to explore a uniquely crafted, detailed, and colorful world filled with new inhabitants and locations never before seen in Star Wars Galaxies, all created from the ground up exclusively by our talented Developers. This new planet will offer players new experiences and include the following:

  • New Quest lines
  • New Characters
  • New POIs
  • New Creatures
  • New Player Structures
  • New Player City Opportunities
  • New Space Zone
  • New Felucian PvP Zone and more!


The Beauty of Felucia.

Felucia is a luscious jungle world, full of new unique styles of flora and natural wonders all sprawling with life. On this planet, the native inhabitants known as Felucians are farmers. You can discover many of the scenic farming lands in various villages and locations they work and reside in across the planet. Along with some of the friendly natives you will encounter, you can come face to face with with amazing new creatures and planet life such as the Gelagrub and the Tee-muss.





The Dangers..

Don't let the beauty fool you! As beautiful as it may look on Felucia, the enemies can be just as awe-inspiring and ferocious. Jungle Rancors, Acklays, Sarlaccs, and much more also inhabit the planet. Expect a wide range of dangers on Felucia that also include NEW World Boss encounters. if you really plan on exploring the new world, you're going to need to be prepared to face some of the hidden dangers that await.





Immerse yourself in a brand new world.

Felucia is home to many a friend and foe, but you too can become some of the planet's newest inhabitants. Brand new Felucian architecture awaits and will be available to YOU for building a new place to call home. Remodeled Felucian style city structures creates new opportunity for your people to start a village and build your way up to becoming a major city destination on this world. Explore and find that location you want to break new ground in and become a part of Felucia!

While the adventures ahead are sure to be exciting and worth the anticipation, we want to really thank you all for the ongoing patience and support you've shown this project. We will never be able to express enough, just how much of the time and work poured into this project is because of every single one of you that spend your precious time to experience the galaxy here with us. Where in the RL world do you live?
Nashville, Tennessee

How long did you play the live version of Star wars galaxies?
I played from week 1 all the way until the lights were turned off for the final time.



What type of work do you do?
I am a Pickup and Delivery/Linehaul Manager for a package delivery/transportation company that you’ve all heard of and is why I’m semi-MIA from Thanksgiving until Christmas every year.

What does a typical Star Wars Galaxies day consist of for you?
When I first log in I usually check my Shipwright’s emails to see what sales I’ve made and do a /mailsave so I can keep track of what is being purchased on SWGAide. (Used The Merchant’s Friend on live) Every few days I’ll run through my vendor and make sure that I have everything in stock and if not will either restock or go make some factory runs. I take a lot of pride in –FFS- parts being considered amongst some of the best on the server and seeing my parts in people’s loadouts brings me great joy!
PS: -FFS- stands for Faotai Fleet Systems not the usual acronym for ffs! Haha
Depending on the time of day it is I’ll either see if there is a group running space Group Convoys I can join, a Space Battle active, or if there’s any PvP in Deep Space going on.

Recently I’ve spent quite a bit of time testing parts of GCW2 to try and get the bugs worked out.



What was the race and profession of your very first character?
My first character was a Zabrak on Naritus that I leveled up to master commando before changing him to a melee stacker. Master Swords, and some mix of pistoleer, fencer, TKA, and pikeman.

What is the one thing you’ve always wanted to be in Star Wars Galaxies that isn’t or is no longer?
As someone who loves the space aspect of the game far more than anything else, I have always wanted a player/guild/city-owned space station to call “home.” I don’t know if this is something that will ever come to pass but, for a space-centric player such as myself, it would be an insanely cool thing to actually be able to “live” in space.

What other hobbies or activities do you take part in, other than playing Star Wars Galaxies?
My wife and I happily welcomed our first child into the world last July so most of my other hobbies, and SWG as well, have taken a bit of a backseat to trying to be the best dad I can be!
Other things I do enjoy doing include care and improvement of my saltwater reef aquarium that is stocked with corals and fish from all over the world, hunting and fishing, and helping my parents on their farm.
I was also raised in Lexington, Kentucky and attended the University of Kentucky so by default I am a die-hard Kentucky Wildcats fan. #bbn

What race and profession is your main character?
All of my characters are Zabrak and Corren is currently a spy. I leveled him to 90 by nothing but the small amount of ground xp you get from space kills as well as doing Nym’s Starmap daily. Spy was crucial for the Spider Clan cave part of it to be able to cloak and run down.

What do you like the most about the profession you have chosen for your main character?
To be completely honest I consider my main profession to be pilot, but if I’m doing anything on the ground I will usually use my BH.



What faction is your main character?
Ever since RAID was first formed on Naritus in the days of the Anchorhead/Bestine wars Corren has always been rebel. I typically PvP (in space) on my Imperial character Rhysati though. Which is a perfect segue to the next question of…

What is your favorite player owned ship?
Either the TIE Advanced or the Royal Guard Interceptor (RGI) are my favorite ships to fly in PvP.

What is your favorite ground vehicle?
The one I never had on live, always wanted, and can’t wait for it to make its way to Legends… The Sith Speeder.

How did you choose your main character's name?
When I was younger I read Michael A. Stackpole/Aaron Aalston’s X-wing series of novels probably over a dozen times and Corran Horn was my favorite character. Name filter wouldn’t allow for “Corran” so I just changed the last vowel.

What is your favorite planet and/or city and why?
Favorite Player City would be Mos Capra, Tatooine on Naritus. It was originally called Mos Quito (get it?) but was renamed in honor of a long-time RAID member who lost his life during Operation Iraqi Freedom, TSgt Anthony “Marnkey” Capra. One of the SOE GMs was kind enough to place some decorations that we as players could not in order to make a suitable memorial for him.
Favorite NPC city would be Dant Pirate outpost. My house with my vendors are less than 400 meters from the starport so it’s a short trip!

What is your favorite NPC?
Kash Nunes when he decides to not be a jerk and give me good parts for my duty tokens.

What are the most credits you have ever spent on purchasing a single item for one of your characters?
I spent 700 million credits for a 71xx mass level 6 engine. Someone go loot me a 72.5 Yaw and 72.5 Roll level 6 engine and I’ll write some more big checks!



What do you like best about SWG Legends?
I like the way, for the most part, Staff listens to player concerns and actively goes about making changes to rectify these. Not listening to the player base was something we all got tired of on Live so it’s nice to see long-standing issues corrected.

Describe your best experience playing Star Wars Galaxies.
The last 10 months of being a Senator here on Legends is definitely up there. I’m thankful for the players that have voted for me and that trust that I am invested in the future of the server. Hopefully I can continue to serve in this capacity for another term!

It’s also pretty neat when I sit back and think about that I started playing this game when I was 17 years old. I have literally grown up with my RAID family.

What is your favorite questline and/or place within Star Wars Galaxies and why?
The Nova Orion questline because even with end-game gear and years of experience in space, you still have to pay attention to it or you’ll fail!

*Friday Feature: Exploring The Chewbacca Memorial*

Greeting Legends,

As we already know, the Star Wars universe has always been full of bright and often interesting humanoids and aliens. Way back in 1977 we were introduced to our first installment of the Star Wars Saga, we suddenly set our eyes onto a very odd looking, hairy creature. Little did we know that this character and the actor playing the role would capture the hearts of millions of fans across the world with his captivating performance of playing the iconic and beloved Chewbacca.

Sadly back in 30 April 2019 the actor; Peter Mayhew passed away due to his ill health. We always think the game and our project has a deeper connection with you, our audience. Star Wars Galaxies has such an intricate relationship with the iconic Star Wars characters which appear within the original trilogy, It only made sense for us to honour his life and contributions to the Star Wars fandom by erecting a permanent in-game memorial area. This in-game memorial statue is in a secluded area of Kashyyyk, Kachiro area.



How can I visit the Chewbacca Memorial?

You can visit the Chewbacca Memorial by opening your points of interest by pressing “V” whilst in-game and selecting the Chewbacca Memorial, a waypoint will be provided to you. Please remember to be respectful if other players are visiting the area.



The Forest Calls To You

The area surrounding the memorial is very strong with the force. Players which visit the memorial should try using certain emotes to awaken the forest, which emotes do you think could awaken the Kashyykian flora? “/Pound, /Roar, /WookieeHug” seems likely, don’t you think? If you can awaken the forest then surely the force will issue you with a commemorative memorial in-game item.

We hope you’ve enjoyed learning a little bit more about our in-game memorial to Peter Mayhew within this Friday Feature. His legacy will live on within our project for years to come; May the force be with him, always.

June 2019 Galactic Homeshow Winner!

This Galactic Homeshow was extremely difficult to judge! There were several entries that made it very difficult for the judges to decide who the winner for this month is. The entries were so close, we even discussed having two winners for this month! We want you all to know that we see and appreciate the improvements you have made to your structures each and every time you re-enter them. We are excited to see so many new entries as well. The winning structure is an example of a re-entry that has worked to improve the structure as a whole. This entry has a lot of character in the details and story told through decorating.

Legends Galactic Homeshow Submissions: July 2019

Hi everyone!

Welcome to the SWG: Legends Galactic Homeshow contest! This month is Faction themed! Use this thread to represent your faction by submitting your uniquely decorated structure into our monthly competition! Each month all houses will be judged on creativity, uniqueness, individuality, and overall concept. It is a great way to show off your dedication to a perfectly decorated house!

Here are a few guidelines to keep in mind before entering.

-Storyteller props inside of a structure will count as decoration, and can help you win!. (optional)
-Storyteller props outside of the structure judged will not be counted in the decision.
-You are only able to enter one structure per month.
-You can enter a house multiple times, and claim multiple homeshow items as a reward for winning.
-Decorated spaceships are not eligible to win.
-Please make sure your structure is public and the waypoint is correct.
-If you are re-entering a structure you have previously won with, you are not eligible for another planetary map waypoint for that structure.

If you want to compete for the amazing prize, simply reply to this thread with the waypoint to your home and the planet it’s located on.

At the end of the month, the panel of judges will begin the Homeshow tour. We heard your request to make the day of judgement immediately follow the last day of submission, and we are going to try our best to make this happen!

All winning homes will receive a special Galactic Homeshow plaque to display in their home as well as an in-game title for that character. Winning structures will be displayed on the planetary map - which is displayed by pressing “V” in-game.

But wait, there's MORE! We have added “A welcoming House Sign” as a monthly prize for our winner, and there is only one way to get it: Winning the Galactic Homeshow competition.



We will accept entries until Tuesday, July 30th 2019 (10PM GMT, 5PM EST, 2PM PST). Put the finishing touches on your house and get it submitted!

*Skirmish In The Streets*

The once iconic city of Restuss has been under a constant bombardment of attacks for a number of years since it’s destruction. The once beautiful scenic city which was full of life and prosperity is now a pile of desolate ruins. Restuss has always been very unpredictable when it comes to PvP engagements. However, a Rebel scout has obtained an Imperial propaganda poster which was hanging nearby to the Restuss Starport. The information on this poster is very disturbing and clearly shows the on-going tension between the two factions, an engagement is most certinately brewing.


The contents of the propaganda poster translated from Aurebesh states the following.

It reads: “The Rebel scum of the galaxy will be permanently squashed this weekend, our loyalty and dedication for the Emperor will give us the willpower to take control of Restuss once and for all. We will dominate.”

Event Type: PvP
Event Date: Saturday 6th July
Event Time: 11.45PM BST UK/6.45PM EDT USA/3.45PM PDT USA
Event Location: Rori, Restuss.
Event Duration: 1 HOUR

Rebel Start Location: Rebel Base (/Waypoint 4852 5849)

Objective: An in-game announcement will be made to signal the start of the event. During this time Imperial & Rebel forces must fight for control of Restuss. The faction with the highest amount of PvP kills (Death Blows) at the end of the event will be announced the winner of the event and congratulated by factional high command. (Winner will be determined based on the amount of kills within the Restuss PvP zone from server statistics)

*Chewbacca's Forest Expedition*

Greetings Adventurers,

The captivating forest of Kashyyyk is full of untold and mystical stories, and often barbaric myths. However this time; our favorite fury Wookiee friend named Chewbacca is after a lending hand from adventurers that visit the planet.



Chewbacca has been tasked by the Wookiee Elders with negotiating the dense Kashyyykian forest to locate two lost infant Wookiees. The elders that reside within the township of Kachiro have stated the small furballs often play and explore near to the river that flows through Kachiro. Adventurers should escort Chewbacca through the Kashyykian forest until Chewbacca locates the Wookiee infants. Chewbacca will then lead you and the infants to the in-coming transport ship that will safely deliver them to Corellia, where their parents are eagerly awaiting them. Any Rebel sympathizers are bound to draw unwanted attention onto themselves. It’s heavily rumored that the Galactic Empire has payed-off the Gotal Bandits & Blackscale with a very high amount of credits to prevent any transports from leaving Kashyyyk. They hope doing so will crush any hope that lingers within the galaxy..

*Friday Feature - The Collectors*

One of the draws SWG has is that there are so many different things to do. Here is one of those things;

There are 4 collectors in game that were introduced as part of the Chapter 7 update on Live. Each collector gives you access to several different collections that grant various rewards, titles, and /or badges.

To learn more in game you need to talk to A Collector located in Mos Eisley, Tatooine (/wp 3265, -4818). She will grant you collection quests as an introduction to the collection system.

Comlink Component Collection - the Collecting Comlink Pieces Collection
Datapad Component Collection - the Collecting Datapad Pieces Collection
Tusken Quota - the Publish Gift Tusken Kill Quota Collection

After you complete these 3 collections she will grant you access to other collections and direct you to 3 other collectors in the galaxy that grant different collections:

Breac Slaus on Yavin IV, Mining Outpost - (/wp -344 4811)
Jener Mich on Endor, Research Outpost - (/wp 3277 -3498)

Account security

Greetings,

On 7/4/2019 we became aware that approximately 54 accounts had been broken into in an attempt to steal credits and hand them out to players in the game. The majority of these accounts have not been touched in months, and in some cases years. In total, 1,075,521,761 credits were stolen from these accounts.In an effort to stop this, we locked these accounts as pending investigation to ensure we could stop this action from happening, and give these players the opportunity to change their passwords after reaching out to us.

We are starting the process now to return the credits to the original accounts, change the passwords, and unlock the accounts. If you haven't already, please file a ticket here: https://swglegends.com/forums/forumd...ispute-Tickets and reach out to us via Discord so we can begin the reversals.

We also strongly recommend that everyone changes your password. We recommend (at a minimum) at least 12 characters, and it should contain at least one capitial, one lowercase, one special character, and one number. We would also stay away from using common words, phrases, etc... We know you are all grown ups, but it never hurts to be vigilant.

*Your Empire Day Influence!*

Are you the most influential member of your faction in the galaxy?

Sadly all celebrations must end, Empire Day celebrations are beginning to wind-down within the galaxy. However, a handful of very observant citizens that reside within the cities of Coronet and Theed have monitored this years propaganda activities and have noticed that a lot of familiar faces keep returning to engage in these repeatable tasks. This has lead them to want to discover who the most influential Imperial & Rebel players are. Together they have mustered up a few Magseal Crates (the contents unknown!) and intend to reward these to the players which TOP the Empire/Remembrance Day activities leaderboard.

Your Objective:

Put your representation skills to the test by partaking in factional propaganda or anti-propaganda activities. On Sunday 14th July @ 5PM BST UK/ 12PM EDT USA/ 9AM PDT USA right before the conclusion of galaxy-wide celebrations the citizens of Theed & Corellia will examine their respective leaderboard and determine who the TOP 3 players of each faction are the most influential this will be determined by the 3 highest scores on the board (1st,2nd,3rd)

How do I take part?

Rebels seeking Remembrance Day Quests and Events can seek out NPC Captain Derlin for Resistance and Vandalism Events (Corellia -187 -4112). Each event is timed so you can potentially maximize your tokens running them separately or opt to run them both at once and quickly get your daily runs in. Resets happen at an undisclosed time! *Note* Running these events as Special Forces can earn you double the tokens per Kiosk/Poster interaction, but do so at your own risk.

Imperial players can speak to NPC Major Brenn Tantor for Recruitment and Anti-Propaganda Events (-5394 4465). Each event is timed so you can potentially maximize your tokens running them separately or opt to run them both at once and quickly get your daily runs in. Resets happen at an undisclosed time! *Note* Running these events as Special Forces can earn you double the tokens per Kiosk/Poster interaction, but do so at your own risk.

*The Swim Of Demise Returns!*

Greetings celebrants,

A returning ghastly type of challenge is awaiting you! The Dead Forest (Located within the Kkowir Forest instanced area of Kashyyyk) is known for Its volatile and harsh environment. This live-event will put your bravery as an adventurer of the galaxy to the test.

A group of deadly event planners have conjured up a ghoulish gathering for you to attend! The objective of this event is to simply swim for your lives. Navigate your way from the start point of the swimming course to the end. Note: Prior knowledge of the waterways of the Dead Forest could be beneficial, perhaps you and friends could investigate before the event? No challenge of this kind comes easy. The celebration of the Galactic Moon Festival has drawn the attention of some unwanted beings into the Dead Forest, these beings wish to immobilize swimmers as they conduct their swim to victory! An in-game announcement will signal the start of the race.

We will have spooktacular prizes for the 1st/2nd/3rd place individuals to cross the finish line. Be sure to bring your friends along. Surely there is safety in numbers?!

Hello everyone,

August brought some heavy hitting home entries and we had a blast touring your homes as always! The community continues to impress with so many decorative ideas and creative concepts. Unfortunately, we can only have one winner each month, and again it was a very hard decision.

For the month of October, we've chosen @tinkieds and their spooktacular decorated Generic Guild Hall located at 5330 1189 Naboo. We hope you have as much fun exploring through it as we did!

*Remembering Peaches'Ncream*

Hello Legends,

One thing we really value is our community. The loyalty and dedication towards our project and what we are striving to achieve is always very overwhelming. Sadly though, earlier this year one of our community members and a very big supporter of SWG:Legends named Peaches’ sadly passed away in real life. Each of you shape what the project was, is, and what it will become; so it was really important for us to pay tribute to her life and her contribution to the community of Omega.

During the live version of the game she started her journey on Lowca. She was known as Teina, Ms-, Ms-Crisstein, Secksy. She played across multiple servers during the span of the live version of Star Wars Galaxies and was often spotted on Chilastra, Flurry, Europe-Farstar and the very overcrowded Starsider! Peaches’ loved the game for what the game was, a giant social sandbox.

Peaches’ had been part of the SWG:Legends community since way back in the early days of the project back in 2016 and remained a player here until her passing. Peaches’ was a very social oriented player that enjoyed helping others with any outstanding quests and learning their professions. She also spent a great deal of time in-game PvPing, exploring heroic instances, treasure maps and decorating her many houses!


As a tribute to Peaches’ we decided to make her live forever within our galaxy far away. You will find a memorial of her character ‘Peaches’ beside the Theed Waterfall on Naboo. (/Waypoint -4642 4369) Please feel free to head over and pay tribute to this wonderful community member.

Attention Legends,

You are required in this dangerous battle scenario with your weapon at the ready!

A conflict is escalating within the City Of Restuss. Tension has been rising as of lately across the galaxy as the Galactic Civil War continues on. Forces from each faction have been regathering and recruiting new citizens to their cause at a desperate rate, often accepting new inexperienced fighters into their ranks. The Rebel Alliance are determined to restore peace and hope into the galaxy. However, to do this they must eliminate any Imperial combatants that challenge their positive ethos that they wish to spread.

Event Type: PvP
Event Date: (Saturday) November, 23rd
Event Time: 11PM GMT UK/6PM EST USA/3PM PST USA
Event Location: City of Restuss, Rori.
Event Start Locations:

Rebel Alliance: Rebel Alliance Forward Base: /Waypoint 4850 5884
Galactic Empire: Galactic Empire Forward Base: /Waypoint 5879 5643

Event Objective:

An in-game announcement will be made to signal the start of the event.

During the PvP engagement supply drops will be lowered onto the Restuss landscape an in-game announcement will be made when this occurs (At random intervals) You and your faction must head to this supply drop within/around the perimeter of the city and ensure safe retrieval of it. In order to do this you must eliminate any opposite factions forces in the immediate area around you (10m around the supply drop) and not engage in combat with enemies for a total for 1 minute. After you have done this you will secure the supply drop and retrieve the items inside for you and your friends!

The winning faction will be the faction that holds control of the city at the event end period. Which will be ONE hour from the start time.

Legends Galactic Homeshow Submissions: December 2019

Hi everyone,

Welcome to the SWG:Legends Galactic Homeshow contest! Use this thread to enter your uniquely decorated structure into our monthly competition! Each month all houses will be judged on creativity, uniqueness, individuality, and overall concept. It is a great way to show off your dedication to a perfectly decorated house!

Here are a few guidelines to keep in mind before entering.

-This month the theme for The Galactic Homeshow is Life Day!
-Storyteller props inside of a structure will count as decoration, and can help you win!. (optional)
-Storyteller props outside of the structure judged will not be counted in the decision.
-You are only able to enter one structure per month.
-You can enter a house multiple times, and claim multiple homeshow items as a reward for winning.
-Decorated spaceships are not eligible to win.
-Please make sure your structure is public and the waypoint is correct.
-If you are re-entering a structure you have previously won with, you are not eligible for another planetary map waypoint for that structure.

You will have the opportunity to get Life Day 2019 items before the Homeshow closing date.

If you want to compete for the amazing prize, simply reply to this thread with the waypoint to your home and the planet it’s located on.

After the submissions deadline has passed, the panel of judges will begin the Homeshow tour. We heard your request to make the day of judgement immediately follow the last day of submission, and we are going to try our best to make this happen!

All winning homes will receive a special Homeshow Trophy to display in their home as well as an in-game title for that character. Winning structures will be displayed on the planetary map - which is displayed by pressing “V” in-game. Along with your plague and eventual planetary mark on the map, Homeshow winners also receive an in-game badge (which comes with a title), and a special icon displayed above your name right here on the forums!

But wait, there's MORE! We have added “A welcoming House Sign” as a monthly prize for our winner, and there is only one way to get it: Winning the Galactic Homeshow competition.



We will accept entries until Tuesday December 31st 2019 (10PM GMT, 5PM EST, 2PM PST).

Legends Rising: A Star Wars Galaxies Podcast

Greetings Legends,

On December 7th 2019 we launched our brand new podcast; Legends Rising. We've wanted to do this for a long time and never really got around to it up until very recently. We hope anyone that watched the first episode enjoyed it, within this thread we will link all of the episodes as we release them so you can view them from one location. We aim to do a Podcast Episode every 2-3 months which would also tie into the release of our community transmission articles. It will be a developing thing so we hope it will continue to get better and better as time goes on. We will add some transition sounds for Episode 2 so It's a little bit more fluid on transitions.

As stated in the podcast we want this podcast to inform you about what's happening with the project, but we also want to discuss and converse with you about Star Wars/Star Wars Galaxies in general, but let's not forget most importantly! It gets you involved into the madness.
